The municipality inaugurated this Tuesday June 19 works in the Juan Piñeiro Park that is located in the area of Remedios de Escalada. The work was carried out jointly with the Leo Messi Foundation and the Pupi Foundation.
The Juan Piñeiro Park now has a renovated space ready to welcome children from an area that is surrounded by several primary schools. During yesterday, as part of a sports day for residents and students of state schools in the neighborhood, the mayor, Néstor Grindetti inaugurated the new Piñeiro Park with the joy that thousands of families now have a green, safe and Free access to enjoy.
"We are very happy for the recovery of this public space since, from now on, the schools in the area will be able to have a decent place for the children to perform physical activity," said the mayor.
This is due to the plan carried out by the Municipality of Lanús on the enhancement of the parks of the commune and was made possible by the important contribution of the Leo Messi Foundation that invested more than 4 million pesos through a donation once evaluated the program of works implemented by the Municipality since 2016.
The place has two sports facilities (one of them has Olympic fencing) illuminated with LED lights. In addition to this, two changing rooms, machinery rooms, storerooms and administrative offices were also built. The caretaker's house was remodeled and the games station was improved. It is planned to add to the list of activities classes of Handball, Taekwondo or football, among others.
This work does not end here but it is planned to carry out a second stage through the Secretariat of Urban Development, previously authorized by the Chief of Staff chaired by Diego Kravetz . In this phase, fixed for the second semester of the year, the perimeter of the trails will be made and the enclosure of the property will be made. In this way Lanús continues to reinforce its commitment to the neighbors, to make their lives a little better every day throughout the municipality.
